What is Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a normal, naturally occurring, healthy state of mind and in fact everyone experiences hypnosis on a daily basis. For example when you get lost in a piece of music, a good book, or a daydream, your attention is completely captured, you are still conscious, but your consciousness is temporarily altered. This is a natural form of hypnotic trance.

When in hypnosis, the conscious mind (that busy, critical, analytical part of the mind) becomes calmer and less active, allowing the subconscious (also referred to as the unconscious) part of the mind to take precedence. The subconscious is the part of the mind which contains all the resources necessary to make beneficial and effective changes as the subconscious mind stores all our memories controls all our habits, emotions, all our past-learnt experiences and behaviour patterns. The subconscious mind does not distinguish between ‘real’ and ‘imagined’ experiences, which is why dreams can feel real. During hypnosis mental imagery can be utilised to assist people to make changes so that clients can create new positive realities for themselves or alter their perception of past events which may affect current behaviour.

There is also the science of psychoneuroimmunology which recognises that the workings of the mind nervous system and immune system are inextricably linked. Over the last 30 years or so, this has led to exciting work in the field of healing, which means that techniques used in hypnotherapy can also affect our physical as well as psychological and spiritual well-being.

What is NLP ?

NLP looks at the way in which we think and process our thoughts (Neuro), how we communicate (Linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and emotions(Programming) and how these interact to have a positive (or negative) effect on us as individuals.

Everyone has all the resources they need to make positive changes in their life .NLP techniques are used as a tool to help you make changes to help you understand your problems, get past them & transform them creating the life you have always wanted to live.

What is Time Line Therapy™ ?
